Tai O Day Trip
Father was invited by friends to pay a visit to Tai O, my mother, sister, brother-in-law, and I decided to join. I was there mainly just to stroll around, take a little breather, and shoot some photos. Enjoyed the tranquility and took some lovely photos of the local flora and fauna.
Running
Went for my weekly dose of endorphin, jogged for a full 10k in 67 minutes. I experimented with a new psychological exercise while jogging today, for each of the laps, I tried to recall the memories when I was at the age equal to the number of laps I had finished. I jogged for a […]
<>
My sister highly recommended me to watch a movie, went to watch it in the afternoon after realizing an exhibition I wanted to go got postponed. It did not disappoint. The movie is a small locally produced film about teens doing what they love and pursuing their hip-hop dancing dreams. It was full of energy […]
Running
It’s been more than a month since I last ran. Ran for about 6k, felt like I could run more, but didn’t want to push myself. The evening temperature is finally beginning to fall below 30 degrees, it’s about time to train up myself again. Doubt that I can actually run a half marathon as […]
August 25th
Something seems to be special about August 25th. It was this day 4 years ago that I moved back from Toronto to HK, and here I am 4 years later waiting for my flight back to HK and putting an end to my awesome Hawaiian vacation. I just can’t seem to escape from the busy, […]
Site Study
Spent a casual afternoon at the HK Science and Technology Park to do a brief study of the site for the architectural design competition. I really like the atmosphere there, it feels just like the huge campus I spent ~8 months in working as a junior researcher for what used to be Canada’s biggest technology […]
July 1st, 2013
Thought hard about joining the July 1st protest to show my disapproval of the current Chief Executive of the city, but chickened out the last minute. I could have blamed it on the poor weather or the tiredness from running, but I know good well that those are nothing but excuses. I still very much […]
NBA Game 7
Although I haven’t watched a NBA game for the entire season, I really felt the urge to catch the last game this morning. On my way to work, I kept an eye out for restaurants that may broadcast the game, and I also asked my “coworkers” for possible venues to watch the game near the […]
Forum on Land Reclamation
Wasn’t expecting much when I signed to sit in on a forum at my Alma Mater this morning, but somehow it felt like I was destined to be there. It was a panel discussion regarding the local government’s plan on reclaiming land along the coastline for development. The first speaker presented, he was a government […]
June 4th Candlelight Vigil
I had made up my mind earlier to attend the annual June 4th candlelight vigil at Victoria Park with my friends. But a friend of ours was in town and could only have dinner tonight, so we persuaded him and another friend to join the vigil before dinner. It suddenly rained heavily soon after we […]
