Fellowship
Thankful to be able to join fellowship again after more than a month of absence. Saw many welcoming smiles from b/s, and many of them said I looked a little thinner now… We had this exercise to find someone we didn’t know too well and stare at him/her silently for one full minute, I took […]
Painting Class
Due to illness and holidays, it had been more than a month since I last joined my weekly oil painting class, felt good to be painting behind the easel again. A few of the classmates asked about my illness and wished me good health, they even saved me the chocolates and cookies they gave out […]
Studio Cleanup
Spent much of my weekend at the studio. I first dusted off the little illustration/cartooning area and used it to ink and color the illustration for the upcoming fellowship programme card design. I hope to utilize the area more in 2015 and do more illustrations/cartoons on my spare time. I also spent a lot of […]
Sunday, Sabbath, Rest
For many years, regardless of busy academics or work, I’ve been dedicating my Sundays for rest and to spend time with my family. After being diagnosed with AOSD and having spent 12 days at the hospital, I know even better now the importance of rest. Today was a particularly restful Sunday. After a restful sleep, […]
Yet More Plantings
Went to the hospital in the morning to take some blood samples for testing, will be reviewing my recovery progress with the doctor at noon tomorrow. Had dim sum with my parents and my sisters’ families afterwards. There was not much to do in the afternoon, I decided to go to the flower market for […]
Father’s Birthday
It so happens that my father’s lunar birthday is on Silent Night this year. We had hot pot at my brother’s place and took the precious opportunity to take a family photo. The last time our family of 14 had a family photo together was 2 years ago!
A Little Reflection
Doctor said I can go home and continue the medication tomorrow!! =) A little reflection of the 10+ days of hospitalized experience: I believe this is God’s way of telling me to rest and reconnect with Him. When I was suffering from continuous high fever, feeling most vulnerable with the thought of death crossing my […]

My good friend’s Big Day. Helping out as an amateur wedding photographer, I woke up early to meet up with the groomsmen to start the full-day celebration. I had a hard time with the groom’s camera, though it’s relatively compact and light, the digital viewfinder was annoyingly sluggish, and the camera’s interface was hardly intuitive. […]
“Bachelor Party”
It’s my good friend’s Big Day tomorrow. Rather than throwing a crazy bachelor party for the groom, we decided to simply have a couple of drinks. One of the friends came back from Toronto and another just arrived town earlier in the morning from Tokyo. It was a happy reunion of friends.
Day 28
Did something mischievous. =) The Government can take down the giant banner at Lion Rock, but I bet they can’t take down this small one at my studio door!
