Silent Night
Spent Silent Night silently in the studio making some limited Christmas gifts for family and friends…
Life Back to Normal
My sister and 2 nieces ended their vacation and flew back to Canada yesterday, and my life is slowly returning back to normal. Went for a run this morning. Without imposing any time limit, I ran slowly and completed about 12k, it’s my first run that’s over 10k since starting my practice in November.
Visiting Uncle
My family insisted on visiting my uncle at his home this afternoon even though he was reluctant to see people after his liver cancer relapsed. Joined by a couple of our relatives from Mainland, there were a total of 9 people visiting! At my uncle’s home, my young nieces from Toronto were kept busy playing […]
Sister and Nieces in Town
My sister and 2 nieces from Toronto had been back for about a week, I had been spending more time with them and less time doing work (always thankful for a flexible work schedule). But it’s December already, and I’m starting to procrastinate on the many things I wish to finish before the end of 2016! […]
Running
The weather finally getting a little chilly in the morning. The sun was shining today after a couple of rainy and gloomy days, I couldn’t resist to go out for a run. Ran about 6k, longest run since getting back to my regular running practice at the beginning of the month. Took the day off […]
Date?
I wasn’t lying when I told my old UW fellowship b/s last night that I have a “target” from my church. Indeed, it just so happened that I invited her to go see an art exhibition with me this afternoon. If dating is simply defined as going out with someone you like and get to […]
Umbrella Movement 2nd Anniversary
I remember vividly this night 2 years ago when I went out to witness one of the biggest civil movements in HK, my phone was flooded with messages from family and friends telling me to stay safe… Seeing the recent LegCo election result, I think the eventual Umbrella Movement was not futile, at least it […]
JCCAC Handicraft Fair
Partnered with a friend to participate in the quarterly JCCAC craft fair over the weekend, it was truly an exhausting exercise for the introvert! Being an introvert, I’m really not too keen on meeting new people and selling my products. The lack of sleep on the night prior to the fair and the unexpected huge crowd […]
Atypical Sunday
My typical Sunday routine includes attending church’s Sunday service, followed by dim sum with family, and avoid going back to the studio. Today was atypical in that I was really late for church (my sister and brother-in-law needed finish watching Olympics volleyball finals first), skipped dim sum with family (I was trying to stay away […]
Sick Day
Woke up with a minor sore throat and light fever, decided to take a day off and rest at home. I can’t remember the last time I spent the afternoon at home on a weekday. Managed to read the entire book of Ezra and prepare the ppt for tomorrow’s fellowship while taking a few naps […]
