Summer Vacation Starts Today!

Submitted my paper on “Mitigating Air Pollution with Architecture in Hong Kong” today.  There were at least 3 months for me to work on it, but I barely did any work until the last two weeks, all the other time were wasted on procrastination.  I don’t know why I just can’t get myself to start […]

Touch This Earth Lightly

Walls that breathe, roofs with glimpses of the sky, sliding windows with views of the vast Australian landscape, together with the smell of seasonal flowers and occasional sound of dripping rain, I can imagine myself relaxing and enjoying my cup of morning coffee in a veranda house designed by Glenn Murcutt.  The Architect describes his […]

Nostalgia

Most of the time this week was spent reading a book on the critical history of modern architecture.  Writings on architecture could be so difficult to understand sometimes, they really have a vocabulary of its own.  Perhaps the most rewarding thing I got out of reading the book is a word I looked up – […]

The Message

I’ve finished reading The Message!! Received as a gift on my 30th birthday, The Message is an interesting translation of the New Testament.  Using modern English, the book makes God’s Words more accessible to people of this age.  Perhaps this is God’s way of narrating His never changing message in an ever changing world…
