Out of stubbornness, I shut my desktop and spent my entire day yesterday reading the Green Bible. Stubbornness paid off, and at 1:30am I had finished reading the last word of Revelations!

This concludes another one of my 2011 New Year’s Resolution!

It’s been a long time since I last spent a day to just read and nothing else, almost forgot what it feels like to free myself from the daily errands and indulge myself with words. Finished reading the Old Testament finally, and still hoping to finish reading the entire Bible before the end of 2011…
Went to Central to renew my passport today, I then had lunch with a friend who works nearby.
It’s not that often that I cross the Victoria Habour, so I made the most of it and visited the Detour 2011. It’s nice seeing local artists’ creative use of ‘useless’ materials to make their wonderful installations.
Besides passport renewal, I’ve also got my body checked, and finished up one of my freelance projects this week. Really need to get serious with some dEEsigners work next week!

Attended my highschool friend’s wedding today. There’s not much I could complain about the wedding, everything seemed to be very smoothly ran. I was able to enjoy almost every minute of the wedding because – 1) there were no relatives around making me feel obligated to do this and that, and 2) I didn’t need to help out with anything at all.
There were 2 tables of our highschool friends in the dinner banquet. It was a rare opportunity for all of us to meet up, so we decided to extend our reunion time and have a little drink in a nearby pub after the banquet.
I left early to catch the last MTR train, then strolled home along the quiet streets in the cool weather listening to my mp3 player. The urban city can sometimes be so magically romantic at night.
It was a wonderful sunny day for an outdoor convocation! My mother decided the last minute to join my father and sister to witness the big day, though I didn’t mention it out loud, I really was glad that she was there.
Studying green architecture for the last 2 years had been a wonderful experience, I was given the opportunity to indulge myself with a subject that I’ve been wanting to study for the longest time.
Now that I’m officially graduated, my next big goal in life is to start a small business. Entrepreneurship is another thing I’ve been wanting to do for a long time, and now just seems like the perfect time to take the risk. Regardless whether I’ll cross path with architecture again in my career, I’m forever thankful for this great 2-year detour (seemingly) in life.

Brought my graduation gown to take a photo with my fellowship‘s b/s tonight. I’m thankful that God has given me a wonderful fellowship life here in HK. At the same time, I’m saddened hearing about the slow demise of my fellowship in Toronto, I pray that God would continue to bless Elim fellowship just like the way, if not more, when I was with them.

Had been doing a lot of clean up since last week. First was my bedroom, finally cleared up all the cardboard saved from my brother’s home renovation during summer, took a lot of time converting them into “bricks“. Following was my home studio, it was uncomfortably disorganized – cardboard scraps, freelance work, passport renewal forms, graduation documents, and newspaper articles were all over the place. Took me a full afternoon to clean up the mess.
Feels good to see everything neatly organized. I’m in good shape to finally indulge myself with some serious work now!

Woke up at 6am in the morning to prepare myself for my first ever 10K run, happy to say that “I’ve made it!”. It was an interesting experience to have so many people running with you, the atmosphere was filled with tremendous energy.
My official time is 64’17”, a personal record, but still way below the average of my age group. I’m quite enjoying the running experience, will probably continue the exercise and train up myself after my cramping left toe is recovered.

Don’t want my muscles to be too cold entering the 10K run this Sunday, I pushed myself to do one last training tonight. Ran ~5K, felt ok, and my “injured” left toe didn’t seem to be too bothering me. A good warm up run.
Still not certain that I can complete the run this Sunday, I guess that’s part of the fun.

Went back to school to pick up my graduation gown. I would probably be more proud of myself if I worked harder and received a higher GPA, feeling a bit regretful. Nonetheless, I’m thankful for having the opportunity to learn a subject that highly interests me and was able to make it all the way to graduation without any background in the field.
