Got absorbed into the time capsule, I’ve spent the whole afternoon going through the FB posts relating to the tragedy that happened this day 26 years ago in Beijing.

When the massacre took place, I was naive and staying in a peaceful country far away from the frontline.  Thankful that the internet in HK is uncensored (yet) so I can unravel the truth of what happened back then…

I couldn’t help but relate the tragedy to the recent Umbrella Movement in HK which I experienced first hand in person, it was “…the best of times, and the worst of times…”

Back to I.T.

Finally getting back to my real profession – website design/programming.  For the last few months, I had been indulging myself with designing and printing all sorts of “toys”.  The iterative design process was rather time-consuming because the 3D printer is awfully slow, but it was quite enjoyable and addictive.

Can’t afford to continue my indulgence however as the bank account is slowly running out of money.  I really need to get back to doing some real work to pay the bills!

Creative Monday

Wasn’t feeling too well in the morning, partly because of the beer the night before.  I noticed that I’m less tolerant of alcohol after recovering from AOSD, should’ve passed the 2nd round of beer, but how often do you get to meet and chat with a good old friend?!

Somewhat dragged myself to the studio in the afternoon to start my Creative Monday ritual, managed to read another year of Calvin & Hobbes before heading to my weekly painting class in the evening.

Soccer

The black rain had come and gone quickly in the late morning, it was a blessing that I could play soccer in the evening without the slightest hint of rain.

The last time I played the sport was back in September, if not earlier.  It felt good to be back on the field playing with my old faithful buckyball-shaped friend.  Many of my soccer buddies were also happy of my return.

I got a little cramped and was quite exhausted after the game, but my joints seemed to be able to take on the exercise better than I thought.  Thankful that I could still continue to enjoy the sport I like most after the serious sickness in December.

Creative Monday

It was public holiday, but without any other plans, I decided to go back to the studio and stick to my weekly Creative Monday ritual.

I read another year of Calvin & Hobbes, it was a bit of a revelation seeing Mr. Bill Watterson touched on the topic of greenhouse gases back in 1987!  Yes, the problem of global warming has never been solved for all these years.  In fact, it has gotten worse and solving that biggest problem on this planet is becoming ever more difficult.

I did a little cartooning before arriving home past midnight.

Creative Monday

Broke a few laughs in the afternoon, I still think Calvin & Hobbes is the best comic strip!

Did a little cartooning before joining my weekly painting class in the evening, there goes another one of my Creative (Cartooning) Mondays.
