Except for Tuesday, I had been meeting up friends every weekday this past week! After returning to HK for 2 months, I finally contacted and met up with a friend’s friend on Monday to help deliver a gift from Canada. It was nice to meet and chat with a fellow Canadian and UW alumni.

Farewelled a university fellowship sister on Thursday, she’ll be moving to UK with her husband later this week. I also started telling friends about my recent decision to move back to Canada later this summer during the meetups. It was particularly difficult to tell the calligraphy class that I joined since 2016. My teacher and classmates seemed sad to hear the news, but they shouldn’t be too surprised as I’ve been telling them my intentions since I visited Canada in summer 2022.

One thing I hope to do before leaving my calligraphy class is to write out all the pieces of work I’ve learned over the years and compose them into artworks. The artworks can then be sold as products as well as being used as reference materials for teaching in the future. Will need to dedicate many hours of work on this project in coming months.
