Stumbled upon a wildlife artist’s book when I was browsing in a bookstore last time, decided to spend a little time this afternoon to look up the artist’s website. Wow, breathtaking art! The last time I was so awe-inspired by such wildlife paintings was visiting Robert Bateman‘s exhibition in Toronto!
I did a little painting myself during my oil painting class tonight, finished the second painting for the course. It’s nothing compared to the great painters I admire, but I’m not going to give up, I’ll continue to practice weekly so as not to lose the painter’s touch, and if I’m fortunate enough to become a full-time painter one day (probably when I retired), I’ll scrutinize every inch of the artists’ masterpieces and learn to paint as well as them.
