Just realized that I’ve been having dinner with my visiting sister and family for 5 consecutive nights! Our family of 14 had our last afternoon dim sum today before my sister’s family took their flight back to Toronto.
I’m always thankful for my family and friends, but the frequent gatherings recently seemed to have left me with very little personal time. Sleep also seemed lacking lately, so tired that I actually thought for the whole day that today is Tuesday when it’s actually Wednesday!
The holiday seems to be passing by much faster than I wanted. Hoping to spend more time alone to think, plan, and do some creative works, I had to decline a couple of group gatherings. I actually feel a bit bad, but I figured that my presence shouldn’t be all that important in large group gatherings, and I’m pretty sure that we’ll be meeting up after the holiday anyway. Perhaps a little selfish, but I can’t seem to function well when too much of my personal time is being sacrificed for frequent gatherings, hope my friends would understand.
