Woke up late, only managed to run 4K this morning.

Almost fully recovered from my cold/flu, managed to run 12K at a slow pace in this morning’s running practice.
Running seems more joyful when I run slowly at my own pace.

Attempting to restart my regular running practice again. Recovering from a cold/flu, a little out of shape, but can’t afford to miss anymore running practices! Ran 7K.

Took the time to read my body check report, everything looks ok, thankful.
Recently caught a cold/flu, not too serious, but my family seemed quite worried and urged me many times to take cold/flu pills. I rejected as I prefer to let my body’s immune system to take its natural course of healing. The fact is that I’ve never been sick since recovering from the major illness at the start of the year, and my cold/flu is likely due to a combination of the fluctuating weather and lack of sleep. Sickness now has become somewhat of a sign that I’ve overworked and that I should take things slower and rest more.
Hope to recover soon and get back to my running practices.
It’s not easy to pick up the momentum again once you lose it. I skipped my running practices last week due to laziness, and when I tried picking up again this morning, I could only run 4K, half of what I had planned to run.
But it’s good that at least I tried picking up the slack and restart the running habit, there’s only about 1 month left before the actual half-marathon run!

I was up all night prototyping a Christmas gift that I hope to print and send out to friends this Christmas. Went home afterwards to wash up and take a much needed nap before rushing to the airport to farewell one of my best friends.
I’ve known this friend for close to 30 years, I still remember going over to his parent’s industrial unit (on the same floor of my parent’s industrial unit) and playing chess with him while our parents diligently work to make a living in the 80s. Good times. Though we don’t hang out too much together in HK as he spent much of his time working in Mainland, I’ll definitely miss having a good friend around. Take care and all the best my good old friend!
Completed 14K, my longest run ever!! That’s 2/3 of a half-marathon, 1/3 more to train up in a month’s time…
Running long distance doesn’t seem as bad when I run slowly at my own pace.
