The 2013-14 Budget for HK was released yesterday, I actually spared the time to search and skim through the report for the first time ever (a good sign of me getting old). Something troubled me about the Budget, in it were only 3 short paragraphs about “environmental protection and conservation” and only a merely $15 billion (out of $440 billion in total) will be spent on it. Doesn’t it make simple sense to invest more on the environment (e.g. reducing air, light, and noise pollution) and let everyone living in the city benefit?! And what’s more troubling to me is that no one actually questioned about this, is everyone satisfied with the environment in HK? I know that economy is important, but what’s good is money if the environment is making you sick and suffocating?
On a personal note, I’ve finally rolled out the changes for some of my previous freelance work today, well on my way of clearing all my freelance work!

Designing the red pocket last year was my first and happiest experience in serving my church. I was thinking about passing the wonderful experience to a new professional designer this year, but she’s too busy to take up the design task.
Went out for an early lunch today, followed by a quick walk at IKEA and some book browsing at a bookstore before heading home. Started working on an “urgent” design project for my church before ending my day with oil painting class.
