My investments continued to grow this past week, it grew a total of 2.7% for the month of October! I just needed it to grow 3% more before the end of the year in order to meet my annual target. I’m looking forward to the day when my investment portfolio will become stable enough that I don’t have to actively manage it and worry about whether I made enough money to cover my monthly expenses. By that time I would be able to dedicate fully to my studio work and indulge myself with art and design!
Went to Art Toronto with a couple of friends on Friday evening. The fair seemed a lot more vibrant in the evening and it felt more fun and enjoyable seeing it with friends. Got a good dose of inspiration from the exhibition. I now feel that I have a better idea of what I wanna paint if I ever pick up painting again. Before the Art Toronto event, I went to the Artists Materials Fund near my studio and picked up many canvases and other miscellaneous goodies I can repurpose. The canvases are at the low end, but should suffice for my initial practices. I’m now known by the AMF staff as a regular.
Besides art and money, one of the major accomplishments for me this past week was submitting my vote on Monday’s election. It’s my first vote since returning to Canada about two years ago. After witnessing my home city’s political scene turned authoritarian, I am grateful to be living in a democratic country and exercising my rights to vote. May God continue to protect and bless the people in this vast country, keeping the land glorious and free. 🙏🏻
