Asked a friend to tag me along to do some life drawing tonight.  It must have been like 10 years since I enrolled in a life drawing course for my cartooning certificate, I still remember how awe inspired I was seeing the instructor do gestural figure drawings with ink and brush and no drafts.

Tonight’s session brought back some of the life drawing class memories.  I attempted for the first time to draw live portraits using a brush pen.  The previous months of calligraphy training has no doubt improved my life drawing skills, but I’m still far off from the level of drawing portraits for others.  I’ll definitely need a lot more practice if I ever want to master the craft of drawing people!
